recently started lifting weights and was wondering if there are specific workouts i can do to strengthen crosses and planches.

For cross:

is the article from Coach Sommer at T-nation (link warning about family - work because the article is great but has some ads with 'hot' pictures of beautiful musculated women :P )

For planche you can try to do front shoulder elevation with dumbells like the regular bodybuilding exercise, but with locked strigth arms.

hey trev, the most effective way to train the skill is on the rings with weighted bulgarians and various planches
