Cody Clark
Hi,I finally held a solid 10 second freestanding handstand. It was perfectly straight and no waving around what so ever. I used both methods of toe touch handstand and stomach to the wall handstands to get the balance right. Plus getting the kick up right by having a mat in front of me in the open and just kept kicking up over and over againinto the handstand. I did this after every WOD and made great proggress. Big thanks to the forum for all the tips. Thanks.
Aaron Griffin
How much time did you put in after each WOD?
jl5555
......Plus getting the kick up right by having a mat in front of me in the open and just kept kicking up over and over again into the handstand......Congratulations! I think that just doing it over and over is really the only way to figure out the kick up. I presume you are kicking up with one leg predominantly? Try to mix it up and kick from either leg and then also from both legs. The earlier you do this the better.
Khassera
Oh man..If I wasn't already doing HOC-style finishers this is exactly what I would do. Right now though I'm doing heavy kettlebell swing ladders against the clock to finish my WODs.
Cody Clark
Thanks GuysI only did about 10 minutes of Handstand work after each WOD. This varied depending on how fresh I felt after each WOD. j55555, Yes, I have only being kicking up with one leg predominantly, I will have to try kicking up with the opposite leg.
