When to add weight to wall bar leg lifts?

Sorry if this information is already out there, I can't find it anywhere.

Just wondering when coach starts having his athletes add weight to their leg lifts. I've been having my athletes add weight when they can do 10 reps with good form. I was discussing this at a clinic over the weekend and most coaches were doing sets of 30 reps at a time (no weight...many don't ever progress to adding weight...)

Should I be working to develop max strength or are we going for endurance here???

If your athletes are gymnasts or have similar goals of maximal strength then they should train for it. Check the WOD to see the rx'd set and rep brackets, if they can perform this with weight, then it's beneficial and recommended to do so. If they can't, work up to it with easier variations until they can.

Many coaches won't ever weight HLL or move beyond a harder progression. Sometimes this is a lack of knowledge or equipment and the time to make weighting it efficient. Which kids get to weight it or not and then dealing with that.

10 sounds good
