palmcron
Hi,When I do handstands I keep getting feedback that my posture is pretty good, but it seems like I'm lacking general body tension. So despite the good posture, there are very small movements inside my body.Of course the obvious fix to this is to concentrate on tension I'm interested in additional advice on how to practice. Additional exercizes? Mental images that help (like reaching to the sky with the toes or pressing the feet together)?
Blairbob
Have you ever tried a body lever? Your body should feel like that. Your butt should be as tight as a superman/arch hold as well as your knees togethers and toes pointed (makes body tighter). I generally cue, suck in the gut-squeeze the butt. If your butt isn't squeezed, you are not tight. You can think about making the body as long or as tall as possible.
