It's decent...but the rings tend to turn in toward horizontal, instead of at least parallel during the reps.

But his entire upper body is almost parallel to the ground, is that right?

Somewhat, it really only hits diagonal.

Vadim is still doing rather well, especially compared to others in his age group. However, I think Sommer had a real monster who was 10 a few years ago and is probably 12 or 13 now that would blow his socks off.

So between the Vadim video and the one you posted, which would is considered better form?

In the one you posted his hands are completely turned out....

Or is the point, that there are many forms of ring dips?

That video was recently brought up in the Bulgarian HSPU thread. Coach Sommer commented he wasn't for the completely turned out dips ( at the end of that video towards a bent arm planche ).

In his second version of dips, where they are parallel; that would be acceptable if you wanted dips that are parallel to the body. His dip form is superior to Vadim's but he is also simply stronger as well.
