Once you get sucked into your first training injury by just doing what feels OK for a week you'll have to take a long tome to get your body right again. The lighter you are the more leeway you have to some extent when working bodyweight skills, but don't ever take advice like that. It is bad advice. I apologize if my post here sounded rude I'm a stubborn guy.. but actually I think we do agree on the subject, you are right you have to progress into a higher workload. For me this is something I just naturally focus on, for some people I can see why there should be more focus on being systematic if they aren't that way already when it comes to training and yup, a lot of people do end up with some bad injuries if they're not careful.
