ThomasJG
Hey guys,I have been making very pooor progress on my vsit despite having excellent pike flexibility and I believe more then enough abdominal strength. Yesterday my friend showed me this drill, he got me to put my but on a gym shape and pike my legs up like a vsit but with my but supported, he then sorta spotted me and got me to try and lift my but off the shape. Instantly my triceps were put under much more strain then I could generate by myself, which makes me believe that my triceps are the weak link in my vsit?So I am wondering if anyone has seen or used a similar drill, and if there is a way I can adapt it so I can do it by myself without a spotter? Also, if the drill is usefull or not? iyaites
I have been doing specific exercises to strengthen my triceps over the last 2 months (french press) and I found recently, that my v sit improved alot, without even training for it. So, yes, strengthtening the triceps should help you.
Razz
For the v-sit follow Coach Sommer's manna progression, it teaches you to push the hips forward properly instead of compensating with extreme pike flexibility. AND you may one day be able to do a manna as well.
