Hey guys.

What should I do to master the Straddle Press to Handstand?

What and how should I train for this, Besides Straddle L, L-sit an handstand training? Do I need flexibility, Should I do Bridge Wall Walks and/ or Bridges ?

I currently train my straddle L 2x a week and L-sit also 2x a week. Handstand training every day.

My Straddle L is not yet horizontal. My best is 15sec

L-sit is horizontal. My best is 20 sec.

my best Handstand is 69sec

my HSPU's bst is 10reps.

The more flexible your shoulders the easier it will be. Being able to have open shoulders makes it a lot easier.

straddle L is good besides straddled leg lift handstand presses o the wall

My friend,

Here are 4 additional drills that may be of help to you:

1. Standing Straddle Press HS

Widen legs, fold forward, plant hands, lean onto toes, curl/roll spine forward.

2. Straddle Forward Roll

Like doing forward rolls, only in straddle position. You can rock forward on your spine, plant hands, and then use momentum to generate the hip-lift.

3. Wall Straddle Press HS

Same as pike press.

4. Negative Straddle HS

From HS, assume straddle, lower as slowly as possible as high on the arms, ending in straddle-L position.

best,

jason

No, the glutes are one of the muscles that pull your legs out to the sides. They also control hip extension
