Petri Widsten
What do you think of these parallel bars, assuming they would be used for dip exercises? Is fibreglass a good bar material? https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Indoor-gym-parallel-bars-for-sale_60437083657.html https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2012-year-Gym-parallel-equipment-bar_60437324686.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.Bif8W8&s=p These have steel bars: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Premium-quality-gym-body-building-equipment_60394090824.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.Bif8W8&s=p Recommendations for home use? Maybe half-length ones, if available, would be enough for dips?
Alessandro Mainente
These are professional pbars so they are perfect for training.
Petri Widsten
I'm getting quotes for them all but I'm inclined towards the all-steel ones unless they are much more expensive. Fibreglass vs steel bars - opinions? If they can supply half-length ones I'll take those to save space, unless you think they are not ideal for dips. Is the max width (52 cm) for the steel ones good for me? My shoulders are 54 cm wide.
Barry Johnston
Make sure you get a quote for shipping before you commit to the purchase. The bases look pretty heavy so it might end up adding a considerable cost onto the total.
Everett Carroll
For home use, the half length option is what I would go with. These look great.
Petri Widsten
Yeah, I always get quotes with shipping included. From China customs duties and transportation to my home will also add a lot to the price for heavy stuff like this. Not sure yet if half-length ones are available but they may be able to customise. Petri Widsten
Hi Jochen Yes, delivery of stall bars to NZ was fast but local freight and tax costs were higher than product price. I haven't ordered parallel bars.
