Sports nutrition. different goals? books/guides?

Hi,

I am researching about nutrition.

Sometimes you "just" need to have "good energy from the food" in order to train good...

sometimes you need to eat in a way that your muscles grow...

sometimes you also need to lean...

and sometimes you better dont eat some things.

So, of course, there is not only one way to eat because it depends on your goals and on your own body. But...

Do you recommend any book/guide of sports nutrition?

Sean Murphey

Too much misinformation out there, i wouldn't even dive into any of it TBH.

I personally am a fan of the quote. "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants."

Due to confounding factors, the effect of this or that type of nutrition is pretty damn hard to establish.

I think I have had good success eating according to my appetite, which means A LOT.

If you cut out the worst offenders like all types of sodas (and no, a single soda a few times a month probably won't kill ya), eat mostly 70% and above dark chocolate when you're in the mood for candy, shy away from light products or processed foods, and DO eat whole foods like eggs, rye bread, veggies, milk, meat, spices etc., then you can't really go wrong.

Oh, and supplements are overrated IMO, even the almighty protein powder. Your requirements can and should be covered by your diet, if not, change your diet.
