Hip tilt

Anterior hip tilt, mine is quite pronounced , my friend who is flexible said I should get rid of this before working splits as it puts my hips in bad position and tightens my lower back ?

Do it whilst working (front) splits. Yes, it will put you in a bad position, but it can be overcome with time and effort. I still have a little, but have splits on each side :)

Dan,

 

Stretching the hip flexors and hamstrings will help decrease your anterior pelvic tilt as well as get you closer to front splits. I highly recommend the Front Split Series from the GB Stretch Courses.
