Shoulder Strength

Hey Coach,

I just got my Xtreme Rings in the mail a couple of days ago, I have the ability to keep my upper body above the rings for a fairly long time. But I cannot lean back or forward very far to practice my back or front levers because of my shoulder strength. What are some exercises you recommend for developing that strength?

Thanks,

Matthew

It's easiest to go into front and back levers from the inverted hanging position. For starters you can work on going from the inverted hang to a tuck lever (front or back) and then returning to an inverted hang. You can then progress to more difficult versions of the lever (extended tuck, one-leg straight, straddle, straight)
