MrAl
As far as I know - a press handstand is all about compression, core and shoulders/trap strength. If I would do Foundation - should I train press handstands as well or will Foundation be enough strength training? I read that the hardest part of the complete skill is transferring from the "raised" straddle hold, where the feet are already close to horizonatl, to start the actual press.I can easily press from a stand, I can do it starting with feet in a wide straddle and with feet together and then straddle up. I can also do a straddle hold to stand or push-up position, but that's it. I don't come any further, I just can't lift my butt to start the actual press. What am I missing? Trap strength? Any tips?
Mats Trane
If you already have a solid handstand get HS2. This course will cover exactly what you want and save you alot of time.https://zp130.infusionsoft.com/app/storeFront/showProductDetail?productId=90If you dont have the cash, search the Forum. Search for Handbalancer's posts. He knows what he is doing. Also, post a video of your current press.
