Sciatic issues?

Hej everyone,

I've been getting this aching pain mostly in and around the right side of my hips and lower back but sometimes when it's bad i feel this burning ache move to my obliques and front of the hip as well. My hips are slightly out of alignment but I have never felt this pain before in my life. It started up when I started working properly on f1 and sometimes certain exercises of f1 make it worse and sometimes the pain prevents me from doing mn pe2, abh, spl im3 and to a certain extent fl work in f1.

Running slowly doesn't seem to cause it to be worse but sprinting causes immediate pain.

I have been stretching a lot recently and sometimes it provides very temporary relief but mostly it does nothing. Doing kits sitti piriformis actually made it feel worse but immitating that stretch while laying on my back felt okay.

After doing long rolling sessions and stretching it feels very mildly better but that last for minutes at most and sometimes the pain comes back al ost immediately afterwards or is worse the next day.

I've been doing quad, piriformis, hamstring, calf, side splits and hip flexor stretches but a lot of the stretches just aggravate it more.

Not sure what the exact problem is just a guess that it's a sciatic problem and yes I Know I should see a specialist but honestly that is not an option at the moment so I was hoping for some ideas on here as to what could be the problem and what could I could try in the mean time to help?

Yes I have tried resting and not exercising as well for a good week without any change what so ever.

Cheers

Hello

I had similar problems caused by strained piriformis. What helped me was massage with small rubber ball on the side of my butt (roll around and you will feel the "perfect spot"). Massage until the pain goes away, but no longer! Than, try to go to bed and rest. In my case, when i tried to walk some distance after the massage, pain returned even worse.

But definetly go see some specialist because it can also be something worse, like disc herniation.

Yea I e tried at already and sometimes it relieves the pain for a short time but when I move again it just comes back. I don't really feel it near my spine 99% of the time it's in my hip usually around the glutes somewhere.

Look at psoas stretches as well. Simplisticly t's a long muscle that runs from the mid-back to the mid-thigh.  It's frequently the cause of lower back pain, and can take a while to let go.  I just read you did hip flexors - that may get some of it, but there are more specific stretches as well.

Lower back/hip may need more than a week rest if it is strained/injured to calm down.

I've been doing splash stretches as well. The pain seems to have gone, oddly after spending a long session doing cartwheels handstand and no hand cart wheels/ spinning kicks. No idea what happened but I felt it a little bit today again after doing day 1 of a 4 day schedule foundation training. The pain seems to move around a bit for example today I felt it more in the front of my hip and a bit in the side where normally the majority is in my glutes.
