It is preferable to face the wall with your stomach while doing HeSPU, but for beginners it's easier to do so while facing the wall with your back. Also when facing the wall with your stomach you have to get your hands on the elevating objects while on handstand position which was actually really hard for me (I could get one hand up on my paralletes but I couldn't get my another on...from fear of falling forward with only my one hand supporting my whole body). If you're only doing HeSPU, you should keep your hands close to the wall. Not too close but close enough that you wouldn't have to arch your back to lean against the wall.
