I looked through the forums, but didn't find a discussion on this. So I apologize if it's already been run into the ground.

Why nothing in the water? Why does it not count if you add anything to it? Seems as long as you get the water in, that's the important thing.

	What am I missing?

Anyone ever try this guy's diet? Been doing Keto myself for last 4 years, which works for me as a lifestyle, but man this guy has some great points. Am considering switching to the low carb version he offers.

Open question. Is there a breakdown of the thrive diet somewhere? I am interested in its approach but I do not need to follow 9 weeks of lessons to learn the diet, or adapt to it. I already follow a healthy diet and have lots of experience experimenting with nutrition so would like the principles of thrive summed up and explained.

I've completed my thrive tasks for 8 days in a row now, but don't see any new one popping up. I'm just starting so this is just the first two tasks of drinking water and eating breakfast fats.

Can anyone help answer as to why I haven't gotten any new tasks yet? Thank you!

I'm not a big breakfast eater - I'm very rarely, if ever, hungry until at least 11 or 12 for lunch. I know that breakfast is supposed to contain a protein and fat. Is this necessary or can we fast through breakfast?

If it is necessary, I enjoy coffee with collagen in the mornings. My collagen (primal kitchen brand) is 10g protein, 2.5 g fat and less than 1g carbs. Would this work?

I have a couple of questions about thrive. First, as I get older (mid 50's) recovery is tougher (as one would expect). I have always eaten fairly well, have never been overweight, and have always been fairly fit. However, I have never followed a performance diet. Can Thrive help with recovery?

Second, I work out when time is available. Therefore, workout times can vary from day to day and week to week. Can thrive be adapted for workouts at all times of the day?

Hi

I did not see an official thread on the Thrive program, so I'll post my question here.

GB Thrive is marketed as a behavior-based program that is flexible enough to accommodate many diets. Awesome! My question is how flexible is it to accommodate pre-existing nutrition behaviors? I follow a randomized fasting schedule of sorts and do not stick to a certain number of meals or macros (some days maybe 1 meal some days maybe 4 meals some days light on protein etc). How incompatible is the thrive course with these behaviors?

Thanks.

According to most sites, my BMR is approx 1680-1730 and my TDEE based on desk job and working out is anywhere from 2600-2700Kcals.

I love fruit, but I have a sweet tooth. Every Christmas/December my home gets filled with unbelievably good baked sugar loaded treats that are in my face whenever I go into the kitchen. It's literally impossible not to break down at some point and then I indulge for 2 weeks or so.

All the treats are finally gone and my mind is thinking about oreos and candy bars. I have a week off of work to suffer through some sugar withdrawls.

Is whole natural fruit going to keep my sugar cravings alive? Typically an apple at lunch and split between lunch and dinner a cup of blueberries.
Would a short term complete cut away from fructose sources, and then moving back to fruit be ideal and prevent sugar cravings?

My question is: What is the proper way of tailoring Thrive for someone who chooses to train the morning? Or does it not affect the outline of Thrive at all?

I'm curious to know about how people here incorporate fruit into their diets. For a while I avoided fruit due to the high sugar content. Do people here eat fruit? If so how much, and what kinds? What about dried fruit? Are there certain types of fruit to avoid/ certain types to eat more of? Or is it best to avoid fruit altogether? Id love to hear as specific responses as possible in terms of what your diet regimen is like and how much fruit plays a role in it or not.

	Hi all,

First things first I will describe (from research) the types of foods each diet roughly consists of (you can correct me if I'm wrong).

	Paleo:

 Grass-produced meats

 Fish/seafood

 Fresh fruits and veggies

 Eggs

 Nuts and seeds

Healthful oils (Olive, walnut, flaxseed, macadamia, avocado, coconut)

	Vegan:

Anything that isn't an animal product.

	Vegetarian (not 100% sure)

 Grains

 Fruits and Vegetables

 Dairy

 Eggs

 Nuts and seeds

 Sometimes fish?

	Conventional Diet

Pretty much the mainstream health diet that your doctor/dietitian would recommend.

 Grains

 Fruits and Vegetables

 Dairy

 Eggs

 Nuts and seeds

 Meat

I'm curious as to whether anyone has experimented with any of these diets and noticed any side effects whether that be positive or negative. I'm not asking for which one is better but rather the experiences of individual people.

Feel free to post your own modified diet and describe any side effects if you want.

	Hey there

I am currently a vegan. I was wondering if Thrive is even a possibility for me?

I know my diet needs to be revamped in some ways. I currently eat one meal a day, usually at night. I know this isn't ideal for performance, but I do make decent progress on strength and I look pretty lean in front of the mirror. I still feel like I need to make improvements on my diet, and as well, my relationship towards food. Any suggestions of good resources, and opinions on whether or not I should or should not purchase the thrive program?

	Thanks!

Hey all, Im looking for some info on increasing my weight loss. I started at 315 a few years ago, and with weights, gym nutrition, and cardio dropped to roughly 170. After a few injuries I bounded back up to 220lbs. Now i'm roughly 180lbs and following gst. It feels like the energy expenditure is lower than it was with weights, and I cant seem to lose the last bit of fat around my back. I have followed a few different nutrition protocols(keto, backloading, IF, and such) that promised to hold the answer. I can't afford thrive, but would like some general idea of where I can look for more advice/knowledge.
